The navigation bar in erm4sn provides quick access to all essential features. Here's a detailed breakdown:

Navigation Bar

  • Scope: Browse through Application Scopes to explore tables within specific scopes. This view is ideal for understanding the organization of ServiceNow's data.
  • App: View tables grouped by Applications based on the Left Navigation structure in ServiceNow, which may span multiple scopes for a comprehensive overview.
  • Table: Access a complete list of tables and their hierarchical relationships, including parent and child tables, to understand dependencies at a glance.
  • Column: Dive deeper into table columns, reviewing detailed metadata such as data types, lengths, and references to other tables.
  • Health: Evaluate the overall health of your ServiceNow schema by identifying customizations and configurations that may impact system stability or performance.
  • Release: Track schema changes over time by comparing releases, helping you prepare for updates or troubleshoot issues.
  • Diagram: Generate graphical Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) for a visual representation of table relationships and dependencies.

Instance Switcher

The Instance Switcher allows you to seamlessly move between different ServiceNow instances within erm4sn.
Hover over the instance name to see when it was last synchronized with ServiceNow. This feature is particularly useful for managing multiple environments such as development, testing, and production.
